| Our Aussie and Pup Information We are a 40 acre farm, not a fancy kennel. We raise sheep and horses and our Aussies go horseback riding and camping with us. They are part of the daily hustle and bustle of farm life. Don't be surprised if you come to visit and are greeted by a big group of Aussies. I started out in the early 90's with a couple of Aussies that were NSDR registered. These were just farm/companion dogs. After about 10 years I decided that I wanted to breed for locals to have farm/companion dogs as well since there were not many Aussies in this area. As time went by I decided I would like to show and compete in stock trials, agility, and conformation. NSDR does not have a venue for shows so I elected to get AKC/ASCA registered Aussies. I have been around several different bloodlines and have decided that I want the most versatile Aussie that I could find, so I elected to go with the Aussies that were bred more for work than for show. Most of my dogs are from working bloodlines with a little show blood here and there. My Aussies are not happy go lucky, love anyone they meet type Aussies. They are wary of strangers at first but warm up quickly (as per the breed standard). They are smart, I don't have to watch them like a hawk when they are out with the horses for fear they will get stepped on. I also don't have to worry about them wandering off as they stick to my side and make sure that they know where I'm at, at all times. I also enjoy the fact that they get along with our cats and ducks, they play frisbee (some of the girls think they are too good for it), and love my kids. They all get along together for the most part with a few spats occasional nothing serious. Most of our Aussies are full-sized around 20-21 inches, we do have a couple smaller sized females and occasionally we will have puppies out of them. All of our dogs are registered, we have our herding dogs which are registered National Stock Dog (NSDR). We have several that are American Kennel Club (AKC) and Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA). All AKC/ASCA Pups must have 'DreamWinds' in front of their names. We strive to produce the best puppy possible. We are still new to breeding so we are learning all the time but we do our best to produce the ideal puppy. Puppies are sold up-to-date on shots and wormings. Their tails are docked (if necessary). Our pups are raised eating Purina Puppy Chow Healthy Morsels. Our pups are born inside with us. I stay up all night making sure everything goes smoothly. Our dogs are our pets, we treat them like they are our children and want the best homes for their puppies. They are raised inside for their first 3-4 weeks in a high-traffic area of our home, where they are cuddled & played with constantly. Then they are introduced to the outside environment and live on our farm so they may experience seeing cats, other dogs, horses, and sheep: fresh air, sunshine & exercise. We do this in order for them to be well socialized, rounded individuals who will be suitable not only as a pet but also as a working/farm dog that will be very versatile for your needs. Please let me know what type of dog you are looking for so that I can better fit you with a puppy that might meet your requirements. For Example: Some of our dogs produce better working/herding dogs than others. We sell all of our puppies as pet quality unless we specifically state that the puppy is show quality (Show Quality puppies range around $800). All of our puppies are suitable as pets and may or may not meet the breed standard, no guarantee is made. Those that are sold as Show Quality will be guaranteed to meet the breed standard. PLEASE NOTE: We ask for at least 2 days notice before coming to pick up your puppy. We schedule this time so that we may give the puppy a bath and have him/her ready for you since they do stay outside after they are 3-4 weeks old and do love to get dirty. ********************** PAYMENT INFORMATION: We will require a deposit of 50% of the puppy price to hold your new puppy. ALL DEPOSITS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A SIGNED CONTRACT. Deposit contracts are usually found on the puppy sale page but if it is now we will provide this contract when you contact us regarding the purchase of one of our puppies. We cannot hold a puppy until we have received a deposit and contract. Deposits must be made on a specific puppy. Deposits are non-refundable and non- transferable, except in the case of illness, injury, or death of a puppy prior to the puppy leaving DreamWind Aussies. Once you have committed to buying a puppy from us we allow 3 to 5 days from that date to get the deposit to us, Overnight or 2 day shipping is recommended. If we have not received the deposit by the 5th day then we will allow the next person in line to place a deposit on the puppy and your deposit will be refunded to you if it arrives after the 5th day. **The reason that we ask this is because a lot of our puppies have multiple people wanting to buy them and it is not fair to either us or the potential owners to wait for a deposit that may or may not show up and loose potential owners in the process.** By 8 weeks of age, any remaining balance is due in full, whether the puppy is to be picked up that week or not, at this time you will have one week to pay the balance in full or you will forfeit your deposit and the puppy will be placed back up for sale. Payment for puppies over 8 weeks of age must be made in full. No partial payments/deposits will be accepted on puppies over 8 weeks of age. ONLY DEPOSITS may be made with a personal check & only when pickup is estimated to be more than 10 days from the receipt of deposit. All other payments (including final payment) must be made by cash or money order. * We will NO LONGER ACCEPT check payments at puppy pickup. Please make sure that you have cash or money order if you are making final payment at pick up. * We will accept your U.S.Postal Service money order. We do NOT accept money orders issued by any other institution. All costs of shipping are paid by buyer & are separate from the puppy sale. I currently use Delta PetFirst or NorthWest Airlines shipping services out of the Louisville, KY airport when possible. The cost of airline shipping your puppy will be close to this: 8 WK OLD PUPPY: Airline Fee $275 plus insurance fees for value of puppy Airline Shipping Crate $40 Trip fee $10 ____________________________ $325.00 TOTAL SHIPPING CHARGES OLDER PUPPY/ADULT: Airline Fee $300-325 plus insurance fees for value of dog (airline will give estimate at time of booking) Airline Shipping Crate $60-100 (Depending on if we can get one at Wal-Mart or need to get one at the airline Vet Health Check, Certificate & Rabies Vax: $30 ___________________________ $350-535 TOTAL SHIPPING CHARGES If you are having TWO puppies shipped to you, we can ship them both in the same puppy kennel for an additional $50. If we have to ship through different airlines (due to weather restrictions), charges may vary. All fees must be paid ONE WEEK prior to shipping (7 wks of age). Some airlines may allow buyer to pay the airline portion of shipping expenses at pick up/ by credit card if you prefer. Pups must be picked up promptly at arrival time. Also remember that there ARE weather restrictions in place by the airlines and specifically some of the airports. Temperatures below 20 degrees or above 85 are not allowed by Delta. If buying a winter pup or hot summer pup, we will be shipping through a different airline. Some have pressurized cabins so there are no weather restrictions. Also note that we ALWAYS ship DIRECT FLIGHT to your nearest MAJOR airport whenever possible even if there is a smaller airport closer. This is for the benefit of the puppy. Please plan for this & do not ask us to ship to a smaller airport due to convenience. Note: DreamWind Aussies is not responsible for changes in requirements or fees of airlines. The responsibility of pickup or shipment is that of the buyer. DreamWind Aussies coordinates shipping arrangements as a courtesy to the buyer when applicable. If the size crate you have provided or that we have bought for you is rejected by airline, we will purchase the appropriate size on the spot & buyer will be responsible for these charges & any additional airline fees. WE DO NOT SHIP OVERSEAS!! We will only ship into the following Canadian airports: Toronto, Montreal. For an addl fee, we will consider shipping into Vancover & Calgary. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please understand this requirement BEFORE booking a pup. Deposits are NONREFUNDABLE for ANY reason. Any older puppy (over 8 wks of age) or started dog purchased must be picked up within two weeks of committment. Puppies booked before 6 wks must be picked up by 8 wks old. All deposits received are nonrefundable and sale may be terminated after two weeks if not picked up at our discretion. Deposits are transferable only if your puppy of choice be unavailable. In that circumstance- you may choose a puppy of the opposite sex if available on your preferred litter or you may choose a puppy from a different or future litter and your deposit will be applied to that litter. Deposits are forfeited if you do not pick up the puppy you have booked. We DO NOT sell puppies to PUPPY MILLS, PUPPY BROKERS, or PET STORES under any circumstances. We DO NOT ship, deliver, nor allow pick up of puppies through a third party. We DO NOT sell puppies to ANYONE unless we have spoken with them.. We DO sell puppies to LOVING HOMES as lifetime companions. We DO sell puppies to REPUTABLE BREEDERS whom we know we can trust to provide safe, healthy, happy homes for our puppies. If the puppy, within 48 hours after the buyer takes possession, is found by a licensed veterinarian not be in good health (internal, external parasites, and kennel cough excluded) you must notify us within 48 hours with a written statement from your licensed veterinarian. Failure to return written report within 24 hours of exam invalidates this guarantee. The breeder then agrees to refund the purchase price upon return of the puppy (uninjured or harmed) and registration papers to the breeder. A refund will be given only upon receipt of the report from a licensed veterinarian. The breeder is not responsible for any expenses incurred. Puppy is guaranteed for 48 hours from date and time of purchase against infectious diseases such as parvo, corona, or distemper. Your new puppy is guaranteed to be free from congenital defects making him unsuitable as a pet for 1 year from the date of birth. If your puppy is found to have life threatening congenital defects you must supply us within 7 days of diagnosis with your veterinarian's written report. We reserve the right to have the diagnosis verified by another veterinarian of our choice before exchange. The puppy would then be replaced with one of equal value and same sex as soon as available. An exchange will be given only upon receipt of the puppy (uninjured or harmed) and the report from a licensed veterinarian. The breeder is not responsible for any expenses incurred. Any shipping expenses for returning or sending the new puppy would be at the buyer's expense. Your puppy has been on a de-worming and vaccination schedule when you receive it. It is very important that you provide this information to your veterinarian immediately. Worming and vaccinations, including yearly boosters, must continue on a regular basis or guarantee is void. The buyer agrees to take good care of the puppy and provide adequate food, water, housing, and medical care. The buyer agrees to follow the breeder’s recommendations regarding feeding, exercise, and general care. Remember, puppies are babies also! They need plenty of love, rest, fresh water, quality puppy food, a warm and dry place to sleep, and exercise. Under no circumstances should you ever surrender your dog to an animal shelter! If you should ever find yourself in a situation where you cannot keep your Aussie, and you cannot find a suitable, loving home for them, we ask that you contact us for help with placement of your Aussie in another home. If necessary, we will gladly come to pick them up and provide a loving home for them until they can be placed elsewhere. All of our puppies are sold as pets. No guarantee is made as to disposition, conformation, or breeding ability. We have given your puppy lots of love, care, and attention. He/she will need the same attention from you.
